5-1) Tableau Server

- Storing data, Managing permissions의 기능

- Server 연결 : Server 생성 > 상단 Server > Sign in > Server 선택

- Publish the data Source to the server : Server > Publish Data Source > local Data Source 선택 > 저장할 Project 선택 > Publish

- owner, 최신 업데이트 날짜 확인 가능

- Dimensions 또는 Measures의 Unique value, 데이터 유형, 데이터 개수 / 분포, Min / Max / Average 확인 가능

- Data 연결 : Connect to Data > Tableau Server > Server Data Source 선택 

Tableau Server를 사용하는 이유

- Cloud에서 공유와 협업 가능 (Connect to the data anywhere)

- Setup time과 Hardware cost 필요 없음.

- Permissions를 관리할 수 있음. (사용자의 View, Interact, Edit, Download  권한 부여), 보안 상 안전함.

- Ask question with natural language

- AI-driven explanations for data

- Interact, edit, and author on the web

- Effectively manage data environment

- Dashboard starters

5-2) Share a workbook and Exporting options

시각화를 공유하는 방법

1. File > Export Packaged Workbook (.twbx file → 모든 시각화와 데이터 소스 포함)

2. File > Export As PowerPoint > 추출할 View, Dashboard, Workbook 선택 → Static View를 공유해야 할 떄 사용

3. File > Share → Tableau Online에 공유할 때 사용

4. Dashboard > Export Image → Static View

5. 시각화 차트 우클릭 > Copy > Crosstab / Data / Image 선택 → View 복사할 때 (Static View)

6. File > Export as Version > Version 선택 → 다른 Tableau Version 사용자와 공유할 때 사용 (Override하지 않고 새로운 Workbook 생성됨.) 

7. Print as PDF → Static View

5-3) Creating a data source that uses multiple connections

- Create joins across the data sources

 

- 공통된 Column 기준으로 Join 

 

- 어디서 온 Column인지 확인 가능

5-4) Automatic & Custom Split

- 하나의 Column을 Multiple columns로 split 함.

- String fields만 가능 

 Automatic Split : Tableau가 탐지한 기준대로 자동 Split 

 

- 계산식을 보면 Tableau가 자동으로 띄어쓰기 기준으로 Split함.

 

Custom Split : 

 

- '-' 뒤의 두번째 값은 삭제됨. 

 

- 계산식에서 1을 2로 바꿔주면 뒤의 값이 보존됨. 

 

- Custom Split 창에서 Last는 마지막 값, All은 모든 값 보존됨.
